Liverpool’s student accommodation has seen big changes over the last decade and that is set to be enriched by a new development.  Smith . Young have recently submitted for planning, working closely with Knight Frank and Vectio Consulting  the proposal completes the Masterplan of the Islington Regeneration Company (IRC).  Providing  an additional 178 student studio apartments within the Knowledge Quarter and with close links to several of the city’s leading educational institutions.

Taking inspiration from the sites existing utilitarian buildings, our proposal uses fair faced and textured concrete with two different shades of grey brick.  In order to maximise the development potential of the site the building proposal cantilevers over the site boundaries which simultaneously expresses the entrance.
